Assurance Senior Manager – Audit

About the role

EY Jamaica is seeking an Assurance Senior Manager to lead external audit engagements across the Caribbean. The role involves providing independent examination of financial statements, advising management on accounting matters, and delivering clear insights to audit committees. You will work in a technology‑enabled environment, supporting digital transformation for clients and the firm.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with key business decision makers and engagement team contacts.
• Provide guidance, expertise, and oversight of audit procedures, focusing on complex and specialized issues.
• Collaborate with engagement teams to plan objectives and develop audit strategies that address risk.
• Embed EY’s Risk Management procedures within engagement work.
• Support transition of new engagements while maintaining high‑quality client service.
• Manage engagement workflows, including resource allocation, budget oversight, and progress monitoring.
• Identify and communicate trends, developments, and performance drivers impacting clients.
• Lead, coach, and develop Assistant Managers, Seniors, and Staff, fostering accountability and independent thinking.
• Leverage technology and knowledge‑sharing to enhance service delivery.

Required profile

• Qualified professional with experience in external audit and assurance.
• Proven ability to build relationships with senior business stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of risk management and audit methodology.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including coaching and performance feedback.
• Excellent communication and professional judgment.
