Bank Teller – May Pen

About the role

Sagicor Bank Jamaica Limited is looking for a reliable and customer‑focused Bank Teller to join its Branch Operations team in May Pen, Clarendon. The role involves handling core banking transactions, providing attentive service, and supporting the branch’s sales initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Process deposits, withdrawals, RTGS/Wire transfers, ACH, and foreign‑exchange transactions accurately.
• Issue and encash drafts, manager’s cheques, and traveller’s cheques.
• Handle cash logistics, including vault duties, cash shipment preparation, and excess cash collection.
• Promote and cross‑sell bank products and services, referring clients to appropriate sales channels.
• Maintain accurate records, balance accounts, and ensure proper imaging of documents.
• Assist in verification of negotiable instruments and complete required regulatory forms.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Knowledge of teller functions and POCA regulations is advantageous.
• High accuracy, attention to detail, and strong time‑management skills.
• Professional demeanor, integrity, and effective communication abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
