General Manager

About the role

The General Manager will lead daily operations of the College of Insurance and Professional Studies in Kingston, Jamaica, overseeing both academic and administrative functions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute operational plans, monitor budgets and resource allocation.
• Supervise multidisciplinary staff, ensure high‑quality delivery of educational programmes.
• Maintain compliance with institutional policies and regulatory requirements.
• Foster relationships with industry partners and support student recruitment and engagement initiatives.
• Report performance metrics to leadership and contribute to strategic planning for growth.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and people‑management experience with multidisciplinary teams.
• Operational and administrative management background, including budgeting and process improvement.
• Experience in education, training or professional development, preferably in insurance, finance or business.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Education or related field; master’s or professional qualifications are a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with office productivity software.
• Basic familiarity with learning management or student information systems.
