Merchant Growth Lead

About the role

MangoErrands is looking for a Merchant Growth Lead to own a portfolio of Jamaican merchants and drive their sales through tailored campaigns, partnerships and on‑the‑ground activation. You will work directly with the Founder and a small, fast‑moving team to expand the platform’s reach across the island and the diaspora.

Key responsibilities

• Grow each vendor’s sales by understanding their business, designing promotions, giveaways, bundles and seasonal offers.
• Create campaign assets such as social posts, flyers, WhatsApp broadcasts and in‑store signage.
• Onboard new merchants, visit them in person across Kingston and rural parishes, train staff and build lasting relationships.
• Develop partnerships with diaspora associations, churches, alumni groups and community organisations in Jamaica and the US.
• Track GMV, campaign performance and vendor growth, reporting weekly results and iterating on successful tactics.

Required profile

• 2+ years of proven sales, business development or marketing experience with a record of hitting targets.
• Highly results‑driven, comfortable asking for the sale and persisting after a “no”.
• Curious problem‑solver who enjoys digging into why some shops thrive while others struggle.
• Strong communicator who builds trust quickly with merchants and partners.

• Hands‑on use of WhatsApp Business
• Design tools such as Canva
• Email/marketing platforms like Klaviyo
