Monitoring and Evaluation Specialist Volunteer

About the role

Cuso International offers a 6-month volunteer placement in Kingston, Jamaica, starting in December 2026, under its SHARE project (Sharing Canadian Expertise for Inclusive Development and Gender Equality). The volunteer supports the partner, The HEART Trust Foundation, by strengthening its Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) systems so it can better understand the impact of its programs and improve its governance. The placement covers both the central office and the branch in Kingston.

Key responsibilities

• Help carry out a needs analysis and SWOT assessment of the partner's internal processes for operations and programming
• Contribute to improving operational procedures for tracking and reporting performance
• Assist in evaluating programs and finalizing M&E reports and reviews
• Train staff on accountable strategies for monitoring program effectiveness and impact

Required profile

• Open to Canadian citizens and Canadian permanent residents only
• English level 4 (advanced)
• University degree in project management, monitoring and evaluation
• Experience working with senior managers, implementing projects and applying project management strategies
• Proven expertise in capacity building and organizational development
