Retail Human Resource Business Partner

About the role

Sutherland is looking for a Human Resource Business Partner for its retail business in Kingston. The role leads HR strategy and employee engagement, partnering with operational and functional leaders to turn business goals into people strategies, and advises leadership on practical HR solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver people strategies aligned with business goals, profitability and client KPIs, and advise leadership on HR solutions
• Lead engagement, satisfaction and retention initiatives and champion the Employer Value Proposition
• Diagnose development needs and run programmes strengthening frontline leadership, performance management and conflict resolution
• Oversee complex employee relations matters in line with Jamaican labour law and company policy, and manage the disciplinary process end to end
• Analyse workforce data such as attrition and absenteeism to design retention interventions
• Ensure consistent execution of HR processes, policy governance and compliance, and lead change management during seasonal hiring and account ramps
• Drive continuous improvement and digitization of HR workflows

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in Psychology, HR Management, Organizational Development or General Sciences
• Senior HR leadership role, present or prior, with experience managing a team of HR professionals
• Minimum 3-4 years in the BPO industry
• Knowledge of labour standards, statutory benefits and employee engagement practices
• Able to work in a shifting schedule
