Sales Representative & Merchandiser – St. Catherine, Mandeville & Portland

About the role

OCA Island Vending & Supplies Ltd. is looking for motivated, results-driven Sales Representatives with strong merchandising skills to develop and manage sales across St. Catherine, Mandeville and Eastern Jamaica. The role covers visiting retail outlets, growing the customer base, keeping existing customers happy and making sure products are well displayed and promoted.

Key responsibilities

• Visit supermarkets, wholesale outlets, convenience stores and other retail locations in the assigned territory
• Develop new business and acquire new customers
• Grow relationships with existing customers to increase repeat sales
• Merchandise products: arrange shelves, replenish stock, maintain displays and improve product visibility
• Keep products priced, presented and displayed to company standards
• Monitor stock levels, product availability, shelf placement and competitor activity
• Identify opportunities for extra product listings, promotional displays and higher sales
• Take and follow up on customer orders and coordinate deliveries
• Collect payments in line with company policies and agreed credit terms
• Submit sales reports, customer updates, merchandising reports and market feedback
• Meet sales targets, customer acquisition goals and collection objectives

Required profile

• Previous experience in sales, merchandising, FMCG distribution or retail is an advantage
• Strong merchandising skills are essential
• Good communication, negotiation and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage an assigned territory, including travelling throughout the sales area
• A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable motor vehicle are preferred for multi-location coverage
