Senior Manager – Individual Life Sales

About the role

Sagicor Life Jamaica Limited is seeking a Senior Manager to lead individual life sales across its branches, the Cayman Islands and brokerage channels. The role supports the Senior Vice President, Sales North in shaping and executing the divisional strategic plan.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership, management and supervision to branches, sales managers and financial advisors, motivating the sales force through seminars, retreats and meetings.
• Develop annual market strategies with Branch Managers to increase production targets and premium intake.
• Monitor business conservation by branch and agent, initiating follow‑up actions as needed.
• Ensure sales teams are knowledgeable about product offerings; conduct gap analyses and recommend training.
• Coordinate market intelligence, monitor competitors and feed insights to senior leadership.
• Manage day‑to‑day sales administration, supervise departmental staff and oversee competition programmes.
• Prepare and present monthly sales production and target performance reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance, AML, fraud requirements and regulatory advisor registration.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Management Studies, Marketing or equivalent.
• FLMI designation or other insurance‑specific qualification.
• Minimum three years of managerial experience in marketing and sales within a financial services organisation.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products and the CAPSIL system.

Required skills

• FLMI designation.
• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to manipulate spreadsheet and database applications.
• Familiarity with the CAPSIL system.
