Service Technician

About the role

F.T. Farfan (Jamaica) Limited is recruiting a Service Technician for a full-time, on-site position in Jamaica. The role covers timely and accurate repairs of motor-powered equipment in line with the department's policies and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Assemble new equipment for sale.
• Servicing and repairing motor-powered equipment as assigned by the Service Supervisor.
• Support Field Service Technicians as an assistant when required.
• Research repairs, identify parts by part number and provide preliminary information for quotations.
• Complete dealership-sponsored training within the specified timeframe, including all assigned online training.
• Perform service for offsite visits and service campaigns.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of product and industry trends and methods.
• Maintain good housekeeping during and after job completion.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and promote HSE awareness.
• Carry out other duties needed to support the company's operations.

Required profile

• Minimum of five O'Level CXC passes, including Mathematics and English Language.
• N.E.C. certification in Auto and Diesel technician or equivalent from a recognised technical institution, or an associate's degree in a related field.
• At least two years of experience in the relevant field.
• Legally authorised to work in Jamaica; relocation costs are the candidate's responsibility.

• Critical thinking and knowledge of machines and tools.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and teamwork.
