Consulting Manager/Senior Manager – Actuarial & Insurance Solutions (P&C Non-Life)

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a Consulting Manager or Senior Manager to lead actuarial and insurance solutions for P&C non‑life clients in Jamaica. You will own a portfolio of key clients, guiding engagements from inception through delivery while driving business development and team growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the full lifecycle of actuarial projects, including economic capital modelling, loss reserve determination, risk management, and audit support.
• Lead and coach multidisciplinary teams, providing training on tools, new technologies, and industry standards.
• Develop proposals, deliver client presentations, and support marketing activities to expand the practice.
• Collaborate with global actuarial partners and other service lines on cross‑border engagements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory regimes such as SII, BMA, IFRS 17, and US GAAP LDTI.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification (e.g., ACCA).
• Fellowship of a recognized actuarial society (SOA, CAS, Institute of Actuaries, etc.).
• 5–7 years of progressive actuarial consulting experience, preferably in insurance.
• Proven project‑management skills, including leading engagements and reviewing junior work.
• Experience in general (re)insurance markets and regulatory compliance.
