Accounting Officer – Real Estate Accounting (Contract)

About the role

The Accounting Officer – Real Estate Accounting provides financial reporting and accounting support to the Assistant Manager of Real Estate Accounting. The role ensures timely and accurate preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial information for Sagicor Property Services Ltd and related entities.

Key responsibilities

• Update supporting schedules for financial statement preparation.
• Create accounting entries and post them to the General Ledger.
• Assist in managing accounting for Sagicor Property Services Ltd.
• Identify financial performance trends and recommend improvements.
• Evaluate budget variances and suggest corrective actions.
• Prepare regulatory filings and quarterly reporting packages.
• Compile budgeting information and assist with cost‑benefit analyses.
• Coordinate the annual audit for SPS and prepare monthly investment reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, ACCA or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and general accounting practices.
• Familiarity with the Companies Act and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
