Assistant Vice President - Individual Life Sales

About the role

The Assistant Vice President – Individual Life Sales will support the Senior Vice President, Sales North in shaping and executing the annual strategic plan. This senior leadership role oversees individual life sales across branches, sales managers, financial advisors, and related channels, including the Cayman Islands and brokerage partners.

Key responsibilities

• Lead sales growth, advisor recruitment, business conservation, market strategy, and regulatory compliance.
• Motivate and inspire the sales force through seminars, retreats, and meetings.
• Develop annual market strategies with branch managers to increase production targets and premium intake.
• Prepare and present monthly production figures and performance reports to senior management.
• Coordinate market intelligence, monitor competitors, and design competitive strategies.
• Manage day‑to‑day sales administration, departmental staff, and company competitions.
• Ensure adherence to corporate governance, AML, fraud requirements, and advisor regulatory compliance.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate degree in Management Studies, Marketing or equivalent.
• FLMI or other insurance designation.
• Minimum three years of managerial experience in marketing and sales within a financial services organization.
• Strong knowledge of life insurance products and the CAPSIL system.
• Understanding of financial services industry dynamics and competitor strategies.

Required skills

• Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Ability to manipulate spreadsheet and database applications.
• Familiarity with the CAPSIL system.
