Business Development Manager

About the role

The Business Development Manager will drive sales of general insurance software solutions across the Caribbean region. This fully remote position focuses on acquiring new clients and expanding relationships with existing insurers, brokers, and MGAs.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary sales contact for the Caribbean territory, achieving financial targets and growing the pipeline.
• Develop and execute sales strategies, lead bid processes, and negotiate commercial and technical terms with senior client representatives.
• Maintain executive‑level relationships, qualify new leads, and ensure customers are kept informed of product updates and roadmaps.
• Collaborate with account managers, product, and proposition teams to create market‑relevant offerings and generate profitable revenue.
• Provide sales support, define service levels, and resolve client service issues.

Required profile

• Degree in Business, IT, Finance, Insurance or equivalent experience.
• Significant client‑facing experience with a proven track record of profitable business development and deals over USD $1 million.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, with consistent achievement of sales targets.
• Experience in territory planning and new‑business sales within the Caribbean insurance market.

Required skills

• In‑depth knowledge of Caribbean general insurance market, including insurers, brokers, MGAs, regulatory frameworks and core insurance software systems.
• Ability to design and implement sales strategies, lead bid processes and negotiate complex contracts.
