Staff Accountant – Crypto & Digital Asset Focus

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join a high‑growth fintech and cryptocurrency client. The role blends traditional accounting responsibilities with specialized digital‑asset accounting, supporting a global network of crypto kiosks and an OTC trading desk.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly roll‑forwards for BTC, ETH, LTC and other digital assets.
• Reconcile wallet balances to blockchain data and internal sub‑ledgers, handling data cleanup and exception resolution.
• Perform fair market value calculations and remeasurements for crypto holdings.
• Process and account for crypto donations, rewards, incentives, and hardware‑wallet activity.
• Post month‑end journal entries, conduct balance‑sheet reconciliations, flux analysis and variance explanations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules, and assist with financial reporting and audit support.
• Develop spreadsheet reports, verify financial information and improve accounting processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience with hands‑on journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Working knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.
