Audit Manager / Senior Manager – Financial Services

About the role

Deloitte Jamaica is looking for an Audit Manager or Senior Manager to oversee a portfolio of clients, mainly in the Financial Services industry. The role provides strategic oversight across all phases of the audit engagement cycle, with a focus on quality, service and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a complex portfolio of new and current audit clients and lead engagement teams.
• Provide expert advice on technical areas such as accounting standards, risk assessments and audit responses, applying professional skepticism.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, lead the adoption of new technologies and train on regulatory and industry standards.
• Develop skills, adaptability and resilience within the team and resource audit engagements effectively.
• Work alongside leaders globally and across the Caribbean and Bermuda region.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree preferably in a related field, or equivalent qualification (e.g. ACCA).
• An internationally recognized professional accounting designation (ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA).
• Manager: 4 to 6 years of progressive audit experience; Senior Manager: 7 years of progressive audit experience, including banking and insurance experience.
• Senior Manager also needs 3 years of team leadership, practice management and stakeholder relationship experience, plus experience supporting business growth and managing large-scale client engagements.
• Project management skills, including leading engagements, mentoring, coaching and reviewing the work of junior team members.
