Merchandiser

About the role

F.T. Farfan (Jamaica) Limited is recruiting a Merchandiser for a full-time, on-site position in Jamaica. The role provides superior customer service and completes sales and other merchandise transactions according to company procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Visit assigned outlets to pack and replenish products according to the route listing.
• Keep the company's products and brands in the best locations for visibility, consumer traffic flow and convenience.
• Use and secure POP material effectively and visibly to the public.
• Keep selling spaces clean and tidy, including re-papering shelves with the corresponding brand shelf paper.
• Report stock-outs to the Supervisor and Sales Representative and follow up on orders.
• Check that retail pricing on the shelves is correct, including specials.
• Assist the Sales Representative with supplementary orders and note and liquidate expiring goods.
• Support brand promotion by keeping product knowledge up to date and give trade feedback on store issues and brand updates.
• Follow directives from the Merchandising Manager, Supervisor, Team Lead, Brand Manager or Sales Manager.
• Maintain strong relationships with sales representatives and dealers where applicable.
• Adhere to Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and promote HSE awareness.
• Perform other duties required to support the company's operations.

Required profile

• Minimum of five CXC/CSEC O'Level passes, including English and Mathematics.
• At least two years of experience in customer service or a similar position.
• Legally authorized to work in Jamaica; relocation costs are the candidate's responsibility.

Required skills

• Good written, oral and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
