Senior Assurance Auditor

About the role

EY Jamaica is seeking a Senior Assurance professional to join its External Audit team. The role involves providing independent examinations of client financial statements, engaging with management on accounting matters, and delivering clear insights to audit committees across the Caribbean region.

Key responsibilities

• Apply accounting and auditing concepts to client engagements.
• Develop and maintain productive relationships with client personnel.
• Deliver exceptional client service throughout the year.
• Conduct daily fieldwork, update supervisors on engagement status, and manage staff performance.
• Delegate tasks, guide and develop junior team members.
• Leverage technology to enhance service delivery and share knowledge.
• Identify potential business opportunities and present ideas to apply EY’s knowledge and services.

Required profile

• Professional accounting designation (ACCA, CA, CPA) completed or near completion.
• Minimum of 3 years audit experience in a public accounting firm.
• Strong teamwork orientation, leadership potential, and commitment to personal and professional growth.
• Integrity and dedication within a professional environment.
