Store Manager

About the role

Ping's Fabrics operates a chain of ten retail stores across central and western Jamaica, selling fabrics and related products. The Store Manager oversees day-to-day operations and management of the store, making sure the goals, targets and objectives set for the location are met or exceeded and that excellent customer service is delivered.

Key responsibilities

• Sell products made or distributed by PING'S Distributors Ltd, work with customers to understand their needs and generate new sales leads through directories, referrals and social media.
• Attend monthly sales meetings, visit customers and build relationships with customers and employees.
• Cash management: secure cash, run the change float, balance sales daily, write sales receipts, lodge money and manage a petty cash float.
• Stock management: order goods, check bin quality daily, monitor stock levels, submit weekly orders to the warehouse, receive and distribute deliveries within 24 hours and visit the warehouse at least once a month.
• Personnel management: train and supervise support staff, keep staff files, uphold discipline, document disciplinary procedures and submit weekly payroll information.
• General management: open and close the store daily, ensure security of customers, staff, goods and cash, keep up with fashion trends, attend meetings and training, help with stock-takes and report weekly sales performance.
• Maintain the cleanliness of the store and facilities, and carry out other duties assigned to the Retail Store Manager.
