Warehouse Attendant

About the role

F.T. Farfan (Jamaica) Limited is recruiting a Warehouse Attendant for a full-time, on-site position in Jamaica. The role supports the receipt and delivery of goods from the warehouse to customers in a timely and orderly way.

Key responsibilities

• Pick and verify daily orders and assist with checking goods for delivery to customers.
• Load and offload goods onto and off delivery vehicles, and accompany the van driver to customer locations.
• Pack and maintain warehouse shelves, and help receive and check goods arriving by air freight, sea freight or local shipment.
• Assist with stock checks and stock check preparations.
• Drive and maintain a forklift when required.
• Keep the warehouse and surrounding areas clean and make sure accessories such as rope, strapping, tarpaulins and tools are secured.
• Follow Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) policies and promote HSE awareness.
• Perform other duties needed to support the company's operations.

Required profile

• Minimum of five CXC O' Level passes including Mathematics and English Language.
• At least two years of experience in a similar capacity.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with little supervision, with good organization, problem-solving and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Jamaica; relocation costs are the candidate's responsibility.

Required skills

• Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of applications.
• Valid forklift license or certification preferred.
