Private Finance Operations Specialist (Portfolio Management & Business Intelligence)

About the role

The IDB Lab is seeking a dynamic professional to strengthen the Portfolio Management and Business Intelligence function within its Ecosystem Building and Acceleration (EBA) Division. The role supports the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of portfolio operations across the Latin America and Caribbean region.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse portfolio performance, KPIs, results frameworks, project status, trends and data quality throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct portfolio analyses, including legacy assessments, repayment projections, financial outlooks, leverage metrics and risk classification.
• Prepare quarterly and annual reports, strategic insights and donor reporting for senior management and internal stakeholders.
• Enhance portfolio tools, dashboards, reporting platforms and monitoring frameworks to improve operational analytics.
• Support risk management and stakeholder coordination by identifying emerging issues, contributing to asset oversight and facilitating corrective actions.

Required profile

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, economics, business administration, public policy or a related field.
• At least four years of professional experience in portfolio management, financial analysis or risk management, preferably within development finance or multilateral institutions.
• Demonstrated ability to work with cross‑functional teams and deliver data‑driven recommendations.
