Maintenance Storekeeper (CSA)

About the role

Couples is hiring a Maintenance Storekeeper in Negril on a permanent basis. The role covers the efficient receipt, storage, organization, issuance and control of engineering spare parts, tools, equipment, supplies and maintenance materials, ensuring the Maintenance Department has adequate stock levels and that materials are properly recorded, secured and available.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and verify engineering materials, spare parts, tools and supplies against purchase orders, invoices and delivery documents.
• Label, organize and store items so they are easily identified and accessible.
• Issue materials, tools and spare parts to authorized Engineering personnel on approved requests.
• Maintain accurate records of items received, issued, returned and in stock, and monitor inventory levels, notifying the Maintenance Manager of items needing replenishment.
• Carry out regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical stock and records.
• Keep stock rotating and safe, and report damaged, obsolete or excess stock.
• Keep the engineering storeroom organized and secure according to hotel standards, and account for returned tools and equipment.
• Assist with purchase requisitions, prepare inventory documentation and support departmental audits.
• Work with Purchasing, Accounts, Maintenance and other departments, and help identify replacement parts and materials.
• Comply with health, safety, security and environmental standards and keep departmental records confidential.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a storeroom, inventory, engineering, maintenance or purchasing environment is preferred; hotel or hospitality experience is an advantage.
• Ability to lift, move and organize materials safely, and to work safely in a storeroom and engineering environment.

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of engineering tools, spare parts, plumbing, electrical, mechanical or maintenance supplies is preferred.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory management systems.
• Numerical and record-keeping skills, with the ability to maintain accurate inventory records.
