Storeroom/Warehouse Clerk

About the role

The Warehouse Clerk ensures the timely and accurate retrieval and binning of parts and keeps the storeroom and warehouse clean and tidy at all times. The position is full-time and involves working in warehouse conditions.

Key responsibilities

• Pick regular invoices and retrieve merchandise from bins, delivering it to delivery personnel
• Binn goods received from shipments and re-bin parts accurately
• Load and off-load merchandise from trucks or containers
• Pick merchandise for wholesale customers and branches with the correct quantities and parts
• Re-stock and tidy assigned bin areas and sweep the storeroom as assigned
• Prepare boxes for disposal according to protocol
• Operate forklifts, hand trucks and other warehouse equipment as authorised
• Assist with security functions and perform other duties needed for smooth operations

Required profile

• At least three CSEC/CXC subjects
• Certificate in automotive studies (optional but an asset)
• Two years of related experience

Working conditions include exposure to physical stress, standing for long periods, lifting heavy loads, and working weekends and extended hours.
