Chief Operating Officer

About the role

Digita Global Marketing Ltd. (DGM), a full-service creative, advertising and marketing agency based in Kingston, Jamaica, is recruiting a Chief Operating Officer. The role sits alongside the CEO and CFO, supervises daily operations and supports the company's regional and global expansion.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the company, including IT, marketing and sales, and oversee the work of executives
• Prepare and present reports to the CEO and the Board on performance, KPIs and targets
• Work with the CEO and CFO on all business matters and set company performance goals with the executive team
• Develop and implement strategies, procedures and business plans to grow the company
• Cultivate rising talent, establish performance goals and develop corrective action plans where needed
• Establish policies that reflect company culture and vision, and lead employees toward maximum performance
• Evaluate performance through data and metrics, and manage relationships with partners and vendors
• Participate in expansion activities such as investments, acquisitions and corporate alliances
• Identify and solicit new business and growth opportunities within existing clients
• Manage the core business and commercial relationships with third-party vendors
• Conduct research and budget forecasting, recommend campaign management, and act as strategic counsel to the Marketing and Growth team on ATL, BTL and TTL projects
• Direct the development of long-term plans and program recommendations for clients

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Management or a related field; a Master's in Business Administration, Marketing & Advertising, Technology, Finance or a similar field is desired
• Minimum of 5 years of managerial experience with a deep understanding of advertising and marketing
• Understanding of business functions such as HR, finance and marketing
• Demonstrable competency in strategic planning and business development
• Experience in fundraising is a plus

Required skills

• Digital marketing certification is an asset
• Accounting and financial management experience is an asset
• Working knowledge of data analysis and performance and operation metrics
