Quantity Surveyor

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will provide professional cost management, valuation and advisory services for property insurance claims. Working closely with claims officers, loss adjusters and contractors, you will ensure accurate damage assessments and fair settlements.

Key responsibilities

• Assess property damage and calculate reinstatement costs.
• Prepare detailed repair and reinstatement estimates.
• Review and evaluate contractor quotations and construction contracts.
• Support claims management by providing cost advice and negotiating settlements.
• Conduct risk surveys, valuations and technical reporting.
• Ensure compliance with policy terms, industry standards and quality assurance procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Professional registration with a relevant association.
• 3‑5 years of experience in quantity surveying, construction cost management, property valuation or insurance claims.
• Proven experience estimating repair and reinstatement works after property damage.
• Knowledge of commercial and residential construction practices.
• Experience reviewing contractor estimates and construction contracts.
