Store Associate / Warehouser

About the role

Sherwin-Williams is hiring a Store Associate / Warehouser for its retail store in Hagley Park, Kingston. Store Associates work with wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, answer questions about Sherwin-Williams products and recommend the right solutions, while resolving customer concerns quickly and keeping the store and products at high visual standards. The role involves customer contact, access to cash and payment methods, and a background check.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver excellent sales service and build trustful relationships with wholesale and retail customers
• Assist customers in person and by phone, and process sales transactions accurately
• Achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly and yearly basis
• Pull products from the sales floor or warehouse, tint and mix products to customer specifications, and stock shelves and set up displays
• Maintain work order files, keep the store, office and warehouse clean and organized, and load/unload delivery trucks
• Comply with inventory control procedures and suggest ways to improve sales

Required profile

• At least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the country of employment
• High School diploma or GED, or passing grades in GCE/CXC CSEC (O'Levels) Math and English, or equivalent
• Able to retrieve items from shelves and floors and lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
• Willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends
• Internal candidates need a "meets expectations" rating on their last appraisal and completed HR Cloud eLearning courses

Preferred qualifications

• Valid, unrestricted driver's license
• One year of experience in delivery, retail or customer service
• Previous experience selling paint and operating tinting and mixing equipment
• Bilingual ability, including Spanish
